“Do you just want to share a teabag?”

Oil on canvas, 40x30cm, 2025

.

There comes a time

when two become one

and everything is shared.

The bed, the house, the kids,

the bills, the late nights and early mornings,

and the stress of it all.

They share memories of love and grief, their kid’s first steps and their oldest friends’ last ones.

When they leave in the morning, they even share goodbyes.

And eventually, even the smallest thing is better enjoyed in half.

So tea bags get shared, in matching cups no less.

And in them float little crumbs of the last biscuit in the tin.
